Storytelling with Technology—Audio/Video Workshop

This training workshops focuses on the process of using various pieces of multimedia materials such as photographs, artwork, music clips and other memorabilia and combining them with one’s own words on a personal computer to create a unique audio and visual story. Workshop participants are required to commit to three full days of participation. This workshop provides hands on training and technical assistance focused on the following technology skills:

  1. Adobe Photoshop software features
  2. Movie editing software
  3. Audio software features (open source downloadable)
  4. Window Media Player features
  5. Scanning technology to add locally produced and culturally appropriate images (e.g. artwork, photos, etc.) to accompany audio content.

Three Options for Participation

  1. These workshops may be provided as part of the IBM-sponsored, “Regional Tech Knowledge Workshop Series.” Details will be available on this website as specific workshop plans are finalized.
  2. These workshops may be provided in designated tribal sites on a contract basis. Please contact the Workshop Co-ordinator at (505) 820-0311 for specific details.
  3. These workshops may be scheduled at the LMDC’s Tech Center located in Santa Fe, NM. Workshops for this location will be scheduled on request and subject to availability of training facility. Please contact the Workshop Co-ordinator at (505) 820-0311 for specific details.
